Furniture with drawers (1967) by Shino Kuramata, in the 'Furniture with Drawers' series, the functions of chairs or drawers, for example may merge. Again, in the variations of his beautiful cabinets in white or gray, he combines several functions into a single unit, diverting from the more practical use of a cabinet to classify and arrange belongings. Through this transformation, a humorous, paradoxical quality, so characteristic of Kuramata, is gained.
Body (side): laminated plywood base, matt finish
