"I was lucky in that it was a very clean space, an old Volvo car showroom, and creatively I could do whatever I wanted. the only constraint was the budget. At the time I was obsessed with mixing the old and the new, so I did things like laser-cutting a traditional material, the oak for the floor, into a geodesic shape."
